Q2 2023 MMORPG Performance in Europe: Top 5 Apps Analyzed

The second quarter of 2023 has seen a dynamic performance among the top 5 MMORPG applications in Europe. Sensor Tower's data provides a detailed look at how these games have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Diablo Immortal, by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., has experienced fluctuating revenue, peaking at around 678k in late March and then following a downward trend to about 300k by late May, before rising back up to around 523k by the end of June. Downloads for Diablo Immortal began at over 37k in late March and saw a decline until mid-May, where it began to recover, reaching nearly 60k downloads in mid-June. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from around 390k to 350k over the quarter.

Watt Games' Kung Fu Saga: Martial Path observed a revenue high of over 300k at the beginning of April, which gradually decreased to around 138k by the end of June. Downloads started strong at over 200k in late March, but saw a significant drop-off, stabilizing at around 20k towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users peaked at over 233k in early April and saw a gradual decrease to just over 113k by late June.

Summoners War: Chronicles from Com2uS Corp. showed an initial revenue of around 335k which saw a variable decline ending at around 85k in late June. Downloads for the game decreased sharply from nearly 70k in late March to just under 2k by the end of June. However, weekly active users increased from around 190k to 218k, indicating a strong and growing user base despite fewer new downloads.

Wemade Co., Ltd.'s MIR4 showed a mixed revenue trend, starting at around 168k and dipping to just over 100k before rising to about 137k by the end of the quarter. The game's downloads were minimal, with the highest at 657 in early May and the lowest at 115 in mid-June. Weekly active users remained fairly stable, hovering around the 14k mark throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Dragon Trail: Hunter World by 4399TH saw its revenue start at about 155k, decrease to around 69k, and then rise again to approximately 97k by late June. Downloads for Dragon Trail: Hunter World showed a gradual decrease from over 13k to around 7k. The weekly active users saw a slight downtrend from 46k to 30k over the quarter.
