Top 5 Travel and Local Apps in Central America Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the travel and local app landscape in Central America saw significant activity across top apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Airbnb maintained strong weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 124K in late December. Active users showed an overall upward trend, starting from around 2.4M and reaching over 3.6M by the end of the quarter.

Volaris experienced varying download numbers, starting from 115K and declining to 70K towards the end of the quarter. Active users, however, increased steadily, reaching over 1.2M in December.

Aeroméxico saw a decrease in downloads from 102K to 64K. Despite this, active users grew from approximately 495K to 670K, indicating sustained user engagement.

Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map had fluctuating download numbers, with a notable decrease mid-quarter, but rebounded to 30K by December. Weekly revenue varied, peaking at $117 in November. Active users saw a decline from 403K to 156K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel witnessed a noticeable increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, rising from 51K to 65K. The app also saw a significant rise in active users, starting at 918K and reaching almost 1.3M.
