The final quarter of 2025 showcased interesting trends for the top tools apps in Portugal, according to data from Sensor Tower.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $6.6K towards the end of December. Downloads increased significantly in December, reaching approximately 4K, while active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, ending at around 43.5K.

AVG AntiVirus & Security experienced a steady rise in revenue, culminating at about $1.8K by the end of the year. The app's downloads showed a notable spike in December, with a peak of around 3.2K, and active users grew steadily from 23.7K to 38.9K.

Surfshark: Secure VPN service had a varied performance, with revenue peaking at about $3.8K in early December. Downloads reached their lowest in mid-December at around 1K, while active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 18.9K by the end of December.

Proton VPN: Fast & Secure VPN showed a peak in downloads in late November with approximately 3.7K. Revenue was highest in late November at about $2.2K, and active users demonstrated a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing at around 36.5K.

Avast Antivirus & Security experienced a consistent revenue flow, peaking at $1.6K in early December. Downloads were highest in late October with around 1.7K, and active users increased steadily, reaching about 37.8K by the end of the quarter.
