In the fourth quarter of 2025, the South American market saw notable activity among the top social networking applications on the unified platform. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Threads maintained a strong presence, with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 583K in late October. Active users consistently increased from 62.7M at the beginning of the quarter to over 71.3M by the end of December.

Telegram Messenger experienced a steady rise in revenue, closing the quarter at around $156K per week. Although downloads saw a gradual decline from 811K to 644K, active users remained robust, fluctuating around the 82M mark throughout the quarter.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, reaching $411 in late December. The app's downloads started at 474K and ended slightly lower at 417K, while active users peaked at 69.9M by the quarter's end.

Facebook continued to be a dominant player, with downloads consistently over 1M weekly. The app's revenue hovered around $82K, and active users slightly increased from 142.6M to 144.3M, reflecting its steady popularity.

Google Meet experienced a decline in both downloads and active users. Starting with 112K downloads, the numbers dropped to 44K by the end of December, and active users decreased from 16.1M to 9.1M.
