During the fourth quarter of 2025, the top photography apps in New Zealand displayed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at these apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Lightroom Photo & Video Editor from Adobe experienced a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $5.6K in early December. The app’s weekly downloads started at 1.3K, declining to around 1K by the end of the quarter. Active users, however, showed a consistent upward trend, rising from about 10.5K to 17.9K.

FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor saw its revenue peak at $6.2K in the week of December 22. Weekly downloads varied, with a high of 840 in October and a low of 567 mid-December. Active users slightly fluctuated, maintaining around 1.8K toward the end of the quarter.

Photoroom AI Photo Editor experienced a decline in revenue, closing the quarter at $1.4K from a high of $2.9K. Downloads also decreased significantly, starting at 2.2K and dropping to 346 by the end of December. Active users decreased from 7.2K to 3.7K.

Picsart AI Photo Editor, Video maintained a fairly stable revenue, peaking at $4.6K in late December. Downloads varied, reaching a high of 3.2K in October and stabilizing around 3K toward the end. Active users showed an initial increase from 11.8K, peaking at over 15.1K, before settling at around 11.2K.

Finally, Photo Lab Picture Editor & Art saw a moderate revenue increase, peaking at $970 in November. Downloads showed a significant drop from 1.2K to 434 by year-end. Active users decreased from 2.9K to 1.7K over the quarter.
