In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top photo and video applications in Sweden demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, according to Sensor Tower data.

CapCut: Photo & Video Editor from Bytedance Pte. Ltd saw a strong finish with weekly downloads peaking at around 14.8K by the end of December. Revenue showed significant fluctuations, hitting a high of approximately $74.2K in late November. Active users increased steadily, reaching over 510K by the end of the quarter.

Meitu- AI Photo & Video Editor experienced a sharp rise in weekly downloads early in the quarter, with numbers reaching 25.3K in mid-October. However, both revenue and active users saw a decrease towards year-end, with revenues dropping to $1.5K and active users to around 4.5K.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor maintained consistent performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at $30.6K in late November, while downloads consistently hovered around 6K, finishing strong at 6.1K at the end of December. Active users remained stable, with a slight dip to 83.9K in the final week.

Instagram showed robust engagement with over 1M active users throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads remained steady, averaging around 7K. Revenue peaked at $18.8K in the week leading up to Christmas.

Edits: Video Editor saw a gradual increase in both downloads and active users. Downloads reached 8.3K by the end of December, while active users nearly doubled from 15K at the start of the quarter to over 29K.
