In the fourth quarter of 2025, the news app landscape in Qatar saw varied performance among the top five applications across both iOS and Android platforms. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, provides insights into their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends.

X from X Corp. showed a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $11.3K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak of 4.9K in the week of December 8. The app maintained a high number of weekly active users, though there was a gradual decrease from 242K to 213K by the end of the quarter.

Reddit experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, with a notable peak at $136 in late November. Downloads increased steadily, reaching 884 by the end of December. The app's active users showed a slight decline, fluctuating around 16.3K to 14.8K over the quarter.

Al Kass App did not generate revenue during this period. However, it saw a significant increase in downloads, particularly in early December with 1.25K downloads. Active users peaked at 5K in early December before tapering off to 3.6K by the end of the month.

Hukoomi Mobile App also did not generate revenue. Weekly downloads were steady, with a slight increase towards the end of December, reaching 210.

Substack maintained consistent download numbers, peaking at 438 in the final week of December. Its active user base saw a gradual increase, ending the quarter at approximately 3.7K.
