In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top-performing news applications in Oceania displayed varied trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Australian Financial Review saw a consistent weekly revenue throughout the quarter, starting at approximately $62.5K and peaking at around $72.3K in early December. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting with 799 and reaching a high of 1.2K in mid-November. Active users showed a positive trend, beginning at 14K and finishing the quarter at 16.6K.

X experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, with a peak of $95.7K in the first week of December. Downloads peaked at 38.9K in early December, while active users remained above 2M throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 2.04M.

The Guardian - US & World News maintained a strong performance with significant revenue growth, peaking at $93.8K in the final week of December. Downloads were highest in the same period, reaching 1.5K. Active users increased steadily, ending the quarter at 130K.

The Sydney Morning Herald had a consistent revenue trend, with a peak of $43.3K in December. Downloads saw an increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 833. Active users also grew, starting at 13K and closing at 14K.
