In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top five news applications in France showcased varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users on a unified platform. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers a comprehensive look at these metrics.

Le Monde, Live News experienced a consistent weekly revenue pattern, peaking at around $351K in early November and closing the year at approximately $345K. Downloads saw a notable increase towards the end of December, rising to 9.3K from a mid-quarter low of 6.2K. Meanwhile, active users fluctuated, starting at 1.5M and ending the quarter with a high of 1.6M.

Le Figaro Actualités en direct showed a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $142K by the end of December. Downloads, however, declined from 5K in mid-October to around 3.1K at the quarter's end. Active users displayed a slight recovery, finishing with over 535K.

Les Echos, actualités éco maintained a stable revenue, hovering between $46K and $53K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a decrease, bottoming out at just over 1K in November but rebounding to nearly 2K in December. Active user numbers also showed a gradual decrease, ending the quarter at approximately 52.7K.

X recorded a significant revenue peak in early December at $75K before settling at $61K by the end of the month. Downloads were highest in mid-November at 78.4K, with active users averaging around 6.8M throughout the quarter.

Finally, Mediapart, journal indépendant saw a revenue decline, starting at $58K and dropping to $41K by December's end. Downloads decreased from 4.2K in early October to just over 2.2K in late December, while active users fluctuated, closing the quarter with approximately 220K.
