Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Oceania: Q4 2025 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications in Oceania showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and user engagement. This analysis leverages data from Sensor Tower to provide a closer look at these apps' performance.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 40.6K in early October and peaking at approximately 66.7K by the end of December. Its weekly active users also showed significant growth, rising from 1.68M to over 2.15M during the quarter.

Google Maps maintained a steady presence, with weekly downloads fluctuating slightly and ending the quarter at about 30.8K. The app's weekly revenue saw minor variations, peaking at $31 in early December. Active users remained stable, hovering around 19M throughout the period.

For Google Earth, the download trend was relatively stable, with a slight dip mid-quarter and a recovery to about 13.5K by late December. Active users for Google Earth saw a rise from approximately 147K to 226K.

Beachsafe observed fluctuating download numbers, starting at just over 400 and ending the quarter with a high of 10.6K in late December. Active user data was not available for this period.

Finally, AMap Global showed a consistent increase in both downloads and active users. Downloads rose from 2.5K to nearly 5.8K, while active users increased from approximately 61K to over 80K. The app's weekly revenue remained modest, peaking at $87 in mid-December.
