In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the unified platform in New Zealand showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps from Google experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 4.8K in mid-December. Revenue saw sporadic gains, with the highest at around $13 in mid-November. Active users steadily grew from 2.2M to over 2.3M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic observed a significant rise in downloads, reaching a high of 6.6K in mid-December. Active users increased steadily, closing the quarter at about 36.5K.

Google Earth maintained a stable download rate, with figures hovering around 2K throughout the quarter. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter at over 20K, showing resilience.

CamperMate Australia & NZ saw a notable uptick in downloads, peaking at nearly 2K by the end of December. Active users also increased, reaching over 9.7K by the quarter's end.

Polarsteps Travel experienced a steady download rate with a slight peak in mid-December at 877. Active users showed a downward trend, finishing the quarter with around 15K users.
