Top Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Australia Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, several navigation and maps applications showed notable performance trends in Australia. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users across a unified platform.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic from Waze Inc. saw its weekly downloads start at approximately 38K at the beginning of October, experiencing a gradual increase to about 62K by the end of December. The active users also grew from 1.6M to over 2M during the same period.

Google Maps maintained a consistent weekly download range, starting from around 23K and peaking at 26K. Revenue remained low but stable, with minor fluctuations, reaching up to $24 in the week leading to December 22. The active user base hovered around 17M throughout the quarter.

Google Earth showed a modest download trend, beginning at 12K and slightly dipping before ending the year at 11K. Active users increased significantly from 131K to over 206K by the end of December.

Beachsafe had a fluctuating download pattern, starting at 446 downloads, peaking at 12K mid-October, and ending at 10K by December's close. Active user data was not available.

AMap Global observed a steady increase in weekly downloads from 1.9K to over 5K. Revenue showed a slight upward trend, reaching $69 in the week of December 22. Active users increased from 49K to nearly 67K by the end of the quarter.
