Top MMORPG Apps in the Netherlands: Q4 2025 Overview

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the MMORPG landscape in the Netherlands was marked by notable trends across the top five applications on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Old School RuneScape from Jagex showed a fluctuating pattern in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $16K in the final week of September and maintaining a strong presence throughout the quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase mid-quarter, reaching around 706K. Active users exhibited a downward trend initially but rebounded in December, closing at about 4.7K.

Huntopia：Fantasy RPG by Leniu Games saw a significant decline in weekly downloads from 2.3K at the start to just over 200 by the end of December. Revenue also decreased steadily, ending the quarter at around $3K. Active users followed a similar downward trajectory, stabilizing at approximately 668.

For RuneScape, revenue experienced a sharp increase towards the end of December, reaching $7.2K. However, downloads remained low, fluctuating around 200, while active users showed minor variations, ending slightly below 400.

MU: Dark Epoch by BUILDING-BLOCKS NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED experienced a gradual decline in both revenue and downloads over the quarter. Revenue peaked at $3.5K in late September but fell to $1.7K by December's end. Downloads decreased from 380 to 227, with active users maintaining a consistent level around 2.3K.

Lastly, Ashes of Valhalla saw a sharp drop in downloads after its initial release, starting at 1.4K and dwindling to double digits by the end of the year. Revenue similarly decreased from $2.9K in mid-October to $1.2K in December.
