Top Maps and Navigation Apps in the Middle East: Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the Middle East saw interesting trends in the performance of the top maps and navigation applications on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps, with data insights provided by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 46.2K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching a peak of about 63.1K by mid-December. The app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users fluctuating between 4.5M and 4.9M throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride showed a varied trend in downloads, starting with approximately 94.7K weekly downloads, dipping to 76.2K mid-quarter, and closing at 87.4K. The weekly active users ranged from 2.5M to 2.9M, with a noticeable peak in early December.

Careem: rides, food, grocery had a gradual decline in weekly downloads, beginning at 67.1K and ending at 47.9K. Despite this, the app maintained a steady number of active users, averaging around 2M each week.

Jeeny - Book Affordable Rides saw a decrease in weekly downloads from 40.1K to 30.8K over the quarter. However, the active user count remained relatively stable, oscillating between 680K and 820K.

Finally, Bolt: Request a Ride showed a decline in downloads from 73K to 58.5K. The active users also varied, starting at around 1.1M, dipping mid-quarter, and ending at 1.1M again.
