In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top maps and navigation applications in Australia displayed varied performance metrics, as compiled by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at each app's trends during this period.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a consistent increase in downloads, starting at 38.2K in early October and rising steadily to 61.6K by the end of December. Weekly active users also grew from 1.64M to over 2.07M during the same timeframe.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a similar upward trend in downloads, beginning the quarter with 27K and peaking at 34.2K at the start of December. Active users increased from 1.83M to approximately 2.06M, showing a solid engagement.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides downloads grew from 24.2K to 34.6K during the quarter, with a notable dip in the week leading up to Christmas. Active user numbers fluctuated, peaking at 900K in mid-November before settling at 716K by the end of the quarter.

Translink showed a decline in downloads from 24.6K at the start of October to 13.9K in late December. The app's active user data was not available for this period.

Finally, My 7-Eleven experienced moderate download numbers, remaining around 14K to 18K weekly. Active users saw a slight decline from 1.06M to 863K by the quarter's end.
