Top Maps and Navigation Apps in UAE: Q4 2025 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the Maps and Navigation category in the United Arab Emirates saw dynamic activity among the top five applications, as captured by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 27.3K in mid-December. Active users fluctuated slightly but maintained an overall upward trend, reaching over 1M by the end of the year.

Careem: rides, food, grocery started strong with downloads exceeding 33K in early October. However, there was a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter, closing at approximately 24.2K. Active users also showed a downward trend, descending from 1.56M to 1.27M.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery saw a significant rise in downloads, particularly in early November, with numbers climbing to 26.7K. Active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations around the 170K mark, peaking at 193K in early December.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation maintained steady download numbers, with a notable spike to 10K in late December. Active users increased steadily throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 153K and reaching 197K by year-end.

Lastly, Bolt: Request a Ride showed varied download activity, with a peak of 18.5K in mid-December. The app's active user base grew consistently, ending the quarter at over 211K.
