In the fourth quarter of 2025, the hack and slash category saw intriguing trends among the top apps in New Zealand, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the performance of the leading applications.

BLEACH: Soul Resonance from Crunchyroll Games, LLC experienced a notable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $3.9K in the week of December 22. However, downloads trended downward, starting from 1.3K in mid-November and ending at around 326 by the end of December.

Duet Night Abyss by Hong Kong Spiral Rising Technology Co., Limited showed a steady decline in both revenue and downloads throughout the quarter. Revenue started at $493 in late October and fell to $180 by the end of December, while downloads decreased from 1.2K to just 22. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, ranging between 289 and 342.

Solo Leveling:Arise from Netmarble maintained a consistent performance in both revenue and active users. Revenue hovered around $600 to $800 weekly, with a slight peak at $787 in mid-November. Active users remained strong, fluctuating between 26.8K and 29.9K.

Zenless Zone Zero, published by COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD., showed a significant spike in revenue, reaching $12.5K at the end of December. Downloads also increased towards the end of the quarter, rising from 104 in mid-December to 240 by the end of the month. Active users saw a gradual increase, peaking at 1.7K.

Finally, Stickman Shadow Hunter Fight by Mana Games Studio had a low revenue trend throughout the quarter, with a slight increase to $49 at the end of December. Downloads remained steady, fluctuating between 36 and 68, while active users ranged from 228 to 287.
