Top Dating Apps Performance in Nigeria Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the dating app market in Nigeria saw varied performances across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date experienced significant fluctuations in its metrics. Weekly downloads peaked at around 45K in early December, while the weekly revenue fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately $14.6K at the beginning of October. The app's active user count started at 208K, but declined to 168K by the end of December.

BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App maintained a relatively stable performance. Weekly downloads began at 8.9K and slightly increased to 5.8K by the end of the quarter. Revenue showed a mild increase, peaking at $8.2K in late December. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 24K throughout the quarter.

Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date saw a spike in weekly downloads, reaching 16K by the end of December. Revenue also increased, with a notable peak of $7.2K in the week before Christmas. Despite fluctuations, active users remained robust, starting at 96K and ending at 87K.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat exhibited steady growth in downloads, peaking at 6.7K in late December. Revenue varied slightly, with the highest recorded at $6.7K close to Christmas. The app maintained a stable user base, averaging around 142K active users throughout the quarter.

Bumpy – International Dating faced a decline in downloads mid-quarter but rebounded to 19K by the end of December. Revenue showed a positive trend, ending at $6.7K in the final week. Active users saw a resurgence, climbing from 125K to 119K over the quarter.
