Top Cryptocurrency Apps in New Zealand: Q4 2025 Performance

During the fourth quarter of 2025, the top cryptocurrency apps in New Zealand demonstrated varied trends in downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto began the quarter with weekly downloads of around 851, which gradually declined to 485 by the end of December. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users starting at 17.6K, though this number saw a steady decline to approximately 11.5K by the quarter's close.

Easy Crypto Wallet: Buy BTC experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 722 at the start of October to 282 at the end of December. Despite the lack of active user data, the download trends indicate a downward trajectory throughout the quarter.

Coinbase: Buy BTC, ETH, SOL showed a notable increase in weekly downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 780 in the week of November 17. However, downloads tapered off to 250 by the end of the year. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 2.4K and decreasing to about 1.3K.

Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet also saw a decline in downloads, starting at 395 and ending the quarter at 281. Active users began at 2.6K, peaking at 3.5K in early October, but declined to 1.5K by the end of December.

Crypto.com: Buy BTC, ETH & CRO had weekly downloads that started at 429 and decreased to 248 by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users began at 13.6K, dipped to 8.1K mid-quarter, but recovered slightly to finish at 9.1K.
