Top 5 Consumer Finance Apps in Ireland: Q4 2025 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the performance of the top consumer finance applications in Ireland on a unified platform reveals interesting trends. Based on data from Sensor Tower, we examine the weekly downloads and active user counts for these apps.

Revolut: Send, spend and save maintained a consistent presence in the market. Weekly downloads showed a gradual decline from approximately 7.6K at the start of October to around 5.5K by the end of December. Despite this, the app's active users were quite stable, starting at around 2.28M and fluctuating slightly, with a peak of 2.42M in mid-December before ending the quarter at 2.22M.

AIB Mobile experienced a notable drop in weekly downloads, starting at 4.4K and decreasing to about 2.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users, however, showed resilience, with numbers hovering around 990K, peaking at over 1M in mid-December.

bunq had a fluctuating download trend, with a high of 5.6K in mid-October, dropping to about 2.6K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 27K and ending slightly lower at 24K.

Bank of Ireland Mobile Banking saw its download numbers start at 3.3K and decrease to approximately 1.9K. However, active users showed an upward trend, beginning at 625K, peaking at 692K in early December, and ending at 621K.

Finally, permanent tsb began the quarter with 2.1K downloads, which fell to just over 1K by the end of the quarter. Active users started at 212K, peaked at 232K in mid-October, and concluded the quarter at 200K.
