Performance of Top 5 Communication Apps in Bulgaria: Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Bulgaria exhibited varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, as analyzed by Sensor Tower.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at around 22.4K in mid-October and dipping to approximately 11K in early December. The weekly active users showed a stable trend, maintaining over 2.6M users throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger saw its weekly downloads start strong at 21.9K in late October but gradually declined to just under 10K by the end of December. Active user numbers, however, peaked at about 2.1M in late December, showing a positive trajectory despite the download decline.

Snapchat from Snap Inc. noted a significant increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $6.4K in late December. Downloads started at 14.2K, dropping to 6K by early December, while active users fluctuated, peaking at around 392K in late October.

Telegram experienced consistent weekly revenue growth, culminating in about $8.5K at the end of December. Downloads began at 19.1K, decreasing steadily to around 6.4K by quarter's end. Active users remained stable, hovering around 1.1M.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained a healthy revenue stream, peaking at $7.7K in late December. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, starting at 9.8K and ending just below 8K. Active users showed consistent engagement, with numbers slightly exceeding 3M.
