In the fourth quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Portugal showed varied performance across different platforms. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 11K and 16K. The highest downloads were recorded in early December at approximately 16.3K. Active users showed a more dynamic trend, starting at around 1.05M and peaking at 1.1M by early December, before experiencing a decline towards the end of the quarter.

For Bolt: Request a Ride, weekly downloads began at 11K and saw a peak of about 12.2K in December. Active users demonstrated a similar pattern, with numbers starting at 903K, peaking at 982K in mid-December, and then declining towards the end of the period.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a more modest weekly download rate, ranging from 3K to 3.9K. Active users increased steadily from 28.8K to 39.9K by mid-November, followed by a gradual decrease through the end of the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery saw downloads ranging from 500 to 1.4K, with a notable increase in late November. Active users showed a peak at 44.8K in late November before settling around 42.6K by the end of December.

Lastly, inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a relatively consistent download rate, hovering around 700 to 800 weekly. Active user numbers remained stable throughout the quarter, with slight increases in November.
