In the fourth quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing sector in Egypt experienced notable trends across its leading applications. Sensor Tower data provides insights into these apps' weekly downloads and active users.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, beginning at 118K and decreasing to around 98K by late October. However, a resurgence was noted towards the end of December, peaking at 110K. The app maintained a strong presence with active users, starting at approximately 5.9M, experiencing a slight decline, and then stabilizing around 5.5M towards the quarter's end.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a steady download pattern, beginning at 62K and slightly decreasing to 58K by the end of December. Active user numbers started at nearly 4M, with fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending with around 3.7M active users.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate, hovering around 53K to 65K, with a notable increase towards the end of December. Active users showed a similar trend, beginning at 4.6M and peaking at nearly 5M in early December, before settling back to around 4.5M.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash observed a downward trend in downloads, starting at 26K and declining to approximately 18.5K by the end of the quarter. Despite this, active users showed resilience, starting at 495K and peaking at 572K mid-quarter, before ending at around 512K.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a steady download rate, beginning at 13K and slightly decreasing to 11K by the quarter's end. Active user numbers remained stable, starting at 259K, peaking at 300K in November, and closing the year at 256K.
