In the fourth quarter of 2025, Romania's iOS market saw significant activity among virtual pet applications. Here's a closer look at the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Friends – Raise AI Companions by SLAY GmbH displayed a remarkable surge in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads skyrocketed from 276 at the beginning of the quarter to over 5.2K by the end of December. Revenue followed a similar trend, climbing from $55 to a peak of $437 in the last week of December. Active users also saw a significant increase, reaching nearly 11.7K.

My Talking Tom from Outfit7 Limited experienced fluctuations throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads varied, peaking at 1.3K in the final week. Revenue showed a modest peak at $163 in early October, while active users saw a dip to 1.9K in late October, recovering slightly to 2.4K by the end.

Applaydu Play & Discover, published by FERRERO TRADING LUX S.A., maintained consistent download numbers, hitting a high of 1.1K in early December. The app, however, did not generate revenue during this period. Active users increased from 1.3K to 1.7K, showing steady engagement.

My Talking Tom 2 also from Outfit7 Limited, saw varied performance. Downloads reached a high of 1.1K in the last week of December. Revenue peaked at $180 in late October, and active users grew from 1.7K to over 3.2K by the quarter's end.

My Talking Angela, another hit from Outfit7 Limited, had weekly downloads ranging from 239 to 914, with a peak in late December. Revenue reached $99 mid-December, while active users increased from 914 to 1.6K.
