Top Utilities Apps on iOS in Germany: Q4 2025 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top utilities applications on iOS in Germany showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads and user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower.

AusweisApp Bund, developed by Governikus GmbH & Co. KG, saw a fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting with 60.4K downloads in early October, the numbers slightly dipped to around 31.3K by the end of December. The app maintained a substantial active user base, peaking at approximately 493.5K in early November before a gradual decrease to 392K by the end of the quarter.

i-Kfz, released by Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, experienced a sharp decline in downloads post-launch, starting at 296.2K in early November and dropping to 18.1K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 239.7K to around 114K.

Google maintained consistent performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads hovered around 51K, while active users remained robust, reaching approximately 22M by the end of December. The app's revenue saw a notable increase in late December, peaking at $1.7K.

Google Chrome demonstrated a steady download rate, averaging about 39K weekly. Active users remained stable, with minor fluctuations around the 19M mark. Revenue saw some spikes, notably in early December with $154.

Google Authenticator showed an increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 52.5K in mid-December. Active users were largely stable, peaking at 1.3M before a slight decline.
