Top News Apps on iOS in Norway: Q4 2025 Performance Review

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Norway showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and user engagement. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Politiloggen experienced a modest fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 2.3K and peaking at 2.6K mid-quarter, before stabilizing around 2.2K towards the end. Active users showed a consistent increase, beginning at 41.7K and reaching 48.8K by the end of December.

X saw a noteworthy peak in weekly revenue with a high of $12.6K in late November. Downloads remained relatively steady, hovering around 1.3K, with a slight increase to 1.6K at the quarter's close. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 113K in early December before settling at 101K.

VG reported significant weekly revenue, peaking at $64K at the start of the quarter and gradually decreasing to $43K. Downloads started at 3.7K but dropped significantly to around 0.7K. Active users saw a slight decline overall, from 86.7K to 72.4K.

NRK maintained stable download numbers, averaging around 1K weekly. Active users decreased over the quarter, starting at 69.2K and ending at 56.6K.

Reddit showed consistent weekly revenue, fluctuating around $200. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1K. Active users peaked in mid-December at 57.9K, ending the quarter at 54.1K.
