Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Oceania Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the performance of leading navigation and maps applications on iOS in Oceania showcased varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five apps.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic from Waze Inc. demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 26.1K at the beginning of October and peaking at approximately 46.9K by the end of December. The app also saw a growth in weekly active users, rising from about 1.06M to 1.34M throughout the quarter.

Google Maps showed stable performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 25.6K and 29.6K. Revenue for Google Maps remained relatively low, with a slight peak at $31 in early December. Weekly active users were robust, maintaining a range from 10.8M to 11.1M.

Google Earth experienced a decline in downloads, beginning at 9.9K and dropping to 7.8K by the end of the quarter. However, active users saw a positive trend, increasing from 90.8K to 141.3K, indicating sustained engagement among users.

Beachsafe, developed by Surf Life Saving Australia Ltd., had a significant spike in weekly downloads, particularly towards the end of December, reaching 7K. This app did not generate revenue during the quarter but maintained a gradual increase in user interest.

AMap Global showed a steady rise in weekly downloads, climbing from 1.4K to 4.3K by December's end. Revenue fluctuated slightly, peaking at $88 in mid-December. Active users increased from 43.9K to 58K, reflecting a growing user base.
