Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in New Zealand Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in New Zealand showcased varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at their metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at around 3.4K in early October and peaking at approximately 4.5K by mid-December. The app's weekly active users saw a steady increase, reaching over 833K by the end of December, although revenue remained minimal, with a notable peak of about $13 in mid-November.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a consistent rise in downloads, starting from 1.3K and climbing to nearly 3K by the end of the year. Active users rose steadily, concluding the quarter at over 20K.

Google Earth had a varied download pattern, beginning with approximately 1.2K downloads and slightly fluctuating to end at about 947. Active users increased to over 10K by the end of December.

CamperMate Australia & NZ downloads grew from 249 to over 1.2K, with active users increasing from around 2.5K to nearly 4.8K by the quarter's end.

Finally, Polarsteps Travel downloads showed a slight downward trend, starting at 618 and ending at 454, while active users began at 8.5K, peaking at over 11K in November, before settling back to 8.5K by year-end.
