Top Meal Kit and Specialty Food Apps in New Zealand Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the iOS platform in New Zealand saw varied performance among the top meal kit and specialty food applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced different trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.

HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery showed a decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 364 and dropping to around 112 by the end of December. Weekly active users also decreased from about 6.3K to 5.1K, indicating a downward trend during the quarter.

My Food Bag maintained a relatively stable download rate initially, with numbers ranging between 327 and 341 downloads per week in October. However, a noticeable decline was observed towards the end of the quarter, with downloads reaching as low as 92 in late December.

Wonky Box experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 280 in early October before declining to 68 by the end of December.

Vivino: Drink The Right Wine saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, culminating at 180 in late December. Revenue trends were positive, with earnings rising from $23 to $81 by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also increased slightly, ending the quarter at 315.

Youfoodz: Custom Meal Plan had minimal activity in terms of downloads, with numbers mostly remaining in the single digits throughout the quarter.
