Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in Germany: Q4 2025

During the fourth quarter of 2025, the iOS platform in Germany witnessed varied performance trends among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps.

Uber - Request a ride saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 75K and peaking at nearly 81K in late October. By the end of December, downloads rose again to about 76K. Active users began at around 1.07M, experiencing slight fluctuations throughout the quarter and ending near the same mark.

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a steady download rate, starting with 26K in late September and closing the year with a notable increase to 33K. Active users showed a decline from 588K to 465K, with some fluctuations in between.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery downloads were relatively consistent, beginning at about 6.5K and finishing with 13K, showing a gradual increase. Active users also increased, starting from 26K and peaking at 39K before a slight drop to 30K.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more experienced a steady download rate initially, with a significant rise to over 10K by the end of December. Active users remained fairly stable throughout the quarter, beginning at 92K and ending close to 91K.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed a minor increase in downloads, from 5.7K to 5.2K, with a peak of 6.6K in late December. Active users started at 130K, peaking mid-quarter, and concluded at approximately 120K.
