In the fourth quarter of 2025, the top air travel apps on iOS in South Africa showed varied performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.

FlySafair maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, peaking at about 3.3K downloads in late November. The app saw a rise in weekly active users, starting from 61.2K and reaching up to 79.8K by early December.

South African Airways experienced modest download numbers, generally staying around 1.1K to 1.4K per week, with a noticeable increase in late November.

Fly Airlink had a similar download pattern, with numbers generally under 1K, except for a spike in late November reaching 1.8K.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of about $2.1K in late December. Downloads also increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 1K in December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, climbing from 8.5K to nearly 12K.

Qatar Airways saw a notable surge in downloads mid-quarter, with a peak of 1.9K in mid-November. Active users also spiked during this period, from 4.1K to 5.8K, before stabilizing.
