The fourth quarter of 2025 showcased intriguing trends for the top tools apps on the Android platform in the Netherlands. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varying patterns in revenue, downloads, and active user engagement.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy, published by Nord Security, experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $20.5K in the final week of December. Downloads showed an upward trend, reaching 7.2K in the same week, while active users also increased, ending the quarter at around 129.9K.

AVG AntiVirus & Security, from AVG Mobile, saw its revenue rise to $17.8K in late December. Downloads surged mid-quarter, reaching a high of 6K, and active user numbers climbed steadily, closing the quarter at 232.5K.

Norton360 Antivirus & Security by NortonMobile showed consistent revenue growth, peaking at about $4.9K the week before Christmas. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, with a notable rise to 2K. Active users also saw a steady increase, reaching approximately 46K by the end of December.

Avast Antivirus & Security from Avast Software recorded a gradual increase in revenue, culminating at $4.7K in the last week of December. Downloads peaked at 2.4K mid-December, and active users showed a notable rise to 69.8K.

Proton VPN: Fast & Secure VPN published by Proton AG, saw revenue peak at $4.3K in late November. Downloads experienced a significant increase, reaching 21K in the final week of the year, while active users fluctuated but ended the quarter at approximately 175.8K.
