Top Tools Apps Performance on Android in France, Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, several tools apps on the Android platform showed varying performance trends in France. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for the top five apps in this category.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy from Nord Security saw its weekly revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, peaking at around $85K at the start of October and ending the year at approximately $65.6K. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 24.3K to 17.1K by the end of December. Active users, however, experienced an upward trend, increasing from 825K to 877K.

Avast Antivirus & Security recorded a steady rise in weekly revenue, which grew from $18.4K to $23.1K by the end of the quarter. Downloads increased significantly in December, reaching 22.1K, while active users consistently remained above 1M, with a slight dip mid-quarter.

Plaud: AI Note Taker experienced varied revenue trends, starting at $13.1K and peaking at $17.8K in early December before dropping to $8.1K by the end of the month. Weekly downloads were sporadic, with peaks in certain weeks, while active users grew steadily from 1.5K to 2.3K.

Proton VPN: Fast & Secure VPN had a notable increase in revenue, starting at $7.8K and reaching $14.4K in early December. Downloads were consistent, hovering around 26K before tapering to 19.8K. Active users increased, with numbers rising from 635K to 756K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, CyberGhost VPN: Secure VPN showed moderate revenue growth, ending the quarter at $9.6K from an initial $11.2K. Downloads decreased slightly from 2.5K to 1.7K, while active users steadily climbed from 187K to 219K.
