The fourth quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top tools apps on the Android platform in Switzerland. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps showed varied patterns in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $24.6K by the end of December. Weekly downloads followed a similar trend, reaching around 2.8K in the week of December 22. The app maintained a strong user base, with active users rising from 51.2K at the start of the quarter to 55.4K towards the end.

Norton360 Antivirus & Security had a steady climb in revenue, closing the quarter at $5.2K in the last week of December. Downloads showed an upward trajectory, culminating in 1.2K downloads in the final week. Active users, however, saw fluctuations, ending the quarter at 4.5K.

Avast Antivirus & Security demonstrated consistent revenue growth, peaking at $4.7K in the week of December 22. Downloads remained stable, with a slight increase to 481 in early December. Active users increased significantly from 13.6K to 16.3K by the end of the quarter.

Proton VPN: Fast & Secure VPN showed a dynamic revenue pattern, with a peak of $5.3K in late November. Downloads surged in December, reaching a high of 3.4K in the week of December 22. Active users initially rose to 40.5K in late November but experienced a gradual decline to 26.7K by the end of December.

Lastly, AVG AntiVirus & Security maintained a steady revenue flow, peaking at $4K mid-December. Downloads increased to 828 by the last week, while active users showed a slight recovery, ending at 9.7K.
