Top 5 News and Magazines Apps on Android in Finland Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Finland's Android market saw interesting trends among the top news and magazines applications. According to Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Ilta-Sanomat by Sanoma Media Finland maintained a steady presence with weekly revenue peaking at around $8.8K at the start of the quarter. Downloads showed significant growth mid-quarter, reaching over 10K, while active users increased from approximately 185K to 231K by the end of December.

Helsingin Sanomat, another strong player from Sanoma Media Finland, experienced fluctuations in revenue, starting at $11K and ending at $8.7K. Download numbers peaked at 7.5K mid-quarter, and active users saw a rise from 253K to 255K.

Aamulehti also from Sanoma Media Finland, saw its weekly revenue range between $1K and $1.6K. Downloads spiked to 4.8K mid-quarter, with active users gradually increasing from 11K to over 17K.

Yle did not generate revenue but maintained consistent download numbers, peaking at 3.2K. Active users remained robust, fluctuating around the 320K mark throughout the quarter.

Finally, X by X Corp. showed a varied revenue trend, with a notable peak of $6.3K in early December. Downloads remained relatively stable, peaking at 1.6K, while active users increased from 102K to about 115K.
