In the fourth quarter of 2025, Sweden saw varying performance trends among the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the weekly downloads and active user trends for these popular apps.
Google Earth experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.6K in early October and dropping to approximately 1.1K by the end of December. However, its weekly active users displayed a different pattern, with numbers rising from 17.5K to a peak of 23.2K in late October, before slightly decreasing and then ending the quarter at 23.1K.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 1K and 1.5K. The app's active user base showed a steady increase throughout the quarter, starting at 29.5K and reaching 37.7K by the end of December.
My map saw a downward trend in weekly downloads, which initially stood at 1.2K in late September and decreased to about 700 by the end of the year. Active users followed a similar declining trend, dropping from 18K to 13.8K over the same period.
Satellite View - Maps - Radar began the quarter with higher download numbers at 1.9K, but these fell to 359 by year's end. Despite this, the app maintained a relatively stable active user count, ranging from 4.2K to 3.9K.
Finally, Google Maps Go experienced a slight decline in downloads throughout the quarter, beginning at 516 and ending at 325. Its active users remained mostly stable, with figures hovering around 4.4K to 4.5K.
