Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Ireland, Q4 2025

The fourth quarter of 2025 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Ireland. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited varied patterns in weekly downloads and active users, providing insights into user preferences and app engagement.

TFI Live maintained a solid presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 4.6K in mid-October. However, the app experienced a decline toward the end of December, reaching approximately 2.3K downloads. Weekly active users displayed fluctuations, starting at about 250K and decreasing to around 178K by the quarter's end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a slight increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 3.7K in late December. The app’s active user base grew steadily from 81.3K to approximately 91.7K throughout the quarter, indicating consistent user engagement.

Google Earth experienced a moderate level of weekly downloads, with numbers hovering between 1K and 1.8K. The application saw a noticeable dip in active users early in the quarter, from 20K to about 10K, before rebounding to 13.1K by the end of December.

Live Earth Map & GPS Tracker witnessed a dramatic rise in weekly downloads, peaking at nearly 2K in early December. Active users followed a similar trend, reaching over 1.5K in mid-December. Revenue was minimal, with slight gains in December totaling around $54.

Google Maps Go maintained a steady download rate, averaging around 270 downloads per week. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 2.5K.
