Top Maps and Navigation Apps in Italy on Android, Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Italy's top maps and navigation apps on the Android platform showcased varied performance metrics, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Trenitalia experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 25.6K and dropping to 15.1K by the end of the quarter. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight dip from 1.65M to 1.42M.

TrainPal - Cheap Train Tickets saw fluctuations in downloads, peaking at 24.9K in late November. Active users increased steadily, starting at 54.6K and reaching 85.7K by the end of December.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging between 16.5K and 23.4K. Active users experienced a slight decline, starting at 1.38M and ending the quarter at 1.26M.

Uber - Request a ride demonstrated a steady increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 23.4K in the final week. Active users initially decreased but recovered to 277.7K by the quarter's end.

Live Earth Map & GPS Tracker showed a significant rise in downloads, peaking at 50.9K in mid-December. Active users also increased dramatically, moving from 605 to 54.7K by the end of the period, alongside a modest revenue boost peaking at $398.
