Top Maps & Navigation Apps on Android in Australia: Q4 2025

The fourth quarter of 2025 saw notable trends in the performance of the top Maps and Navigation applications on the Android platform in Australia. Based on data from Sensor Tower, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user statistics for these leading apps.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic witnessed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 11.4K and peaking at 20.2K by the end of December. Active users also showed a strong upward trajectory, rising from 600K to approximately 779K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, beginning the quarter at 11.9K and reaching a high of nearly 14.8K in early December. The app's active user base grew significantly, starting at around 710K and peaking at 959K mid-December, before stabilizing at 797K by the year-end.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a varied download trend, with a high of 12.5K in early December followed by a decrease to 8.6K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed fluctuations, with numbers starting at 331K, peaking at 380K in early November, and closing the quarter at 301K.

Translink recorded a gradual decline in downloads from 8.2K at the start to 4K by the end of December. Unfortunately, active user data was not available for this period.

My 7-Eleven downloads showed an interesting pattern, with a notable peak in mid-December at 7.3K. Active users began at 375K, dipped mid-quarter, and ended the year at around 305K.
