In the fourth quarter of 2025, the hack and slash genre on Android in Malta saw varied performance among the top applications. Here's a closer look at the trends for the leading games, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Ninja Ryuko: Shadow Ninja Game exhibited a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from 9 and climbing to 21 by the end of December. Despite this growth, the game did not generate any revenue during this period.

Duet Night Abyss experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads at 41 in late October, followed by a decline to single-digit figures in December. The game's revenue peaked at $63 in early November but tapered off to zero by mid-December.

BLEACH: Soul Resonance saw a significant increase in revenue, reaching $138 in the week before Christmas. Weekly downloads, however, decreased from 55 in late November to 7 by the end of December.

Takashi Ninja Samurai Game maintained a steady download rate, with figures fluctuating between 5 and 13 throughout the quarter. Like Ninja Ryuko, it did not record any revenue.

Zenless Zone Zero showed an upward trend in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads increased from 2 in early October to 21 by the end of December, while revenue peaked at $108 in the final week of the year.
