In the fourth quarter of 2025, the performance of cryptocurrency apps on the Android platform in Nigeria showcased varying trends in downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

MiniPay - Dollar Wallet, published by Opera, observed a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads. Starting at around 40.5K in early October, downloads dipped to approximately 32.3K mid-month but rebounded to close the quarter at about 44.5K. Active users experienced a decline early in the quarter, dropping from 210K to 135.6K by early November. However, a recovery was noted, with numbers rising to 205.6K by the end of December.

Bybit: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto maintained a steady download rate, beginning at 17.3K and slightly decreasing to 12.5K by the end of December. Active users saw a peak of 1.31M in early October, followed by a gradual decline to 1.01M by the end of the quarter.

Pi Network, from SocialChain, started with 17.1K downloads, which decreased to 11.3K by late December. Active user numbers experienced a decline from 2.15M at the start of the quarter to 1.62M by year-end.

Sidra Chain, published by QatarIT, saw an increase in downloads initially, reaching a peak of 18.5K in mid-November, before declining to 8K by the end of December. Active users showed fluctuations, beginning at 228.8K and peaking at 298.1K in November, before ending the quarter at 256K.

Trust: Crypto & Bitcoin Wallet experienced a downward trend in downloads, from 17.3K in early October to 10.1K in December. Active users also fluctuated, starting at 748.6K, peaking at 1.03M in early October, and closing at 679.7K.
