Top 5 Communication Apps on Android in Ukraine, Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the performance of communication apps on the Android platform in Ukraine showcased interesting trends. According to Sensor Tower data, these applications displayed varying patterns in downloads, revenue, and active users.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a high level of weekly active users, starting at around 9.4M and ending the quarter with approximately 9.9M. Weekly downloads saw fluctuations, peaking at 74.8K in late October and then stabilizing in the range of 46.8K to 54.5K towards the end of the quarter.

Telegram demonstrated a notable increase in weekly revenue, culminating in $222K at the end of December. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 50K, while active users consistently fluctuated around the 19.5M mark.

My Kyivstar: mobile services experienced an upward trend in weekly downloads, reaching 50K in the week of December 22. Active users increased from 3.2M at the beginning of the quarter to over 4.4M by the end.

Getcontact showed a steady rise in weekly downloads, peaking at 42.5K in the last week of December. Weekly revenue remained modest, hovering around the $200 mark, while active users saw a slight decline from 2.6M to 2.1M throughout the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $23K, with a peak of $26K in late December. Downloads varied slightly, ending the quarter with 37.3K, while active users fluctuated closely around 17.5M.
