Top Communication Apps on Android in Bulgaria Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the performance of communication apps on the Android platform in Bulgaria revealed intriguing trends. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps demonstrated varied trajectories in terms of weekly downloads and active user engagement.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 22K in late October. Active users remained robust, fluctuating slightly but consistently staying above 2.1M throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger showed a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from around 16.1K at the start of the quarter to about 7.7K by the end of December. However, active user numbers exhibited resilience, peaking at nearly 1.7M in the last week of December.

Snapchat from Snap Inc experienced a steady revenue increase, reaching $856 in late October. Despite a decrease in downloads from 13K in early October to about 6.1K by the end of the year, active users remained stable, closing the quarter at over 244K.

Telegram saw a peak in weekly revenue in mid-October at around $2.4K. Downloads decreased from 15.7K at the quarter's start to 4.2K by the end, while active users showed a slight dip, ending the quarter at nearly 789K.

Rakuten Viber Messenger reported the highest revenue among the apps, with fluctuations around the $3K mark throughout the quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, peaking at 9.4K in late October, and active users hovered slightly above 2.3M.
