Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Italy on Android in Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Italy showed varied trends across different applications. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of the top five apps on the Android platform.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at about 24K during the last week of December. However, weekly active users fluctuated, starting from 360K at the beginning of October and dipping to 216K mid-quarter, before ending the year at approximately 278K.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching 9.2K in the final week of December. Active users for Bolt also saw a growth trend, starting at 93K in late September and climbing to 91K by the end of the quarter.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more showed consistent weekly downloads, with a modest increase towards the end of December, peaking at around 5K. Active users decreased overall, starting at 73K and ending at 47K.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares displayed a stable download rate, with slight fluctuations, ending the quarter with approximately 2.4K downloads. Weekly active users showed a gradual increase, reaching 7.7K by the end of December.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus faced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 2.8K and dropping to 1.6K by the end of December. Active users, however, saw a recovery towards the end of the quarter, increasing from 37K in early November to 51K by late December.
