Top 5 Entertainment Apps Performance in Slovakia for Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, the entertainment app landscape in Slovakia witnessed diverse performance trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Voyo.sk from MARKÍZA - SLOVAKIA, spol. s r.o. showed an interesting trajectory in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads experienced a significant surge from 5K to over 20K, particularly evident in mid-September. Revenue also saw fluctuations, peaking at around $26 in late July.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies maintained a strong weekly revenue stream, consistently exceeding $20K, and reaching up to $31K in late July. Downloads varied, with a notable peak of 17K in late July, though they generally trended downward towards the end of the quarter. Active users increased from approximately 32K to over 48K by the end of July before stabilizing around 38K.

Disney+ demonstrated robust revenue growth, with figures climbing to nearly $74K in mid-August. Downloads were relatively stable, with a few peaks around 6K in September. Active user numbers rose from 31K to over 41K by the end of September.

Netflix, produced by Netflix, Inc., witnessed steady weekly revenue, hovering around $1.5K. Downloads remained consistent throughout the quarter, generally staying between 3K and 3.5K. Active users fluctuated, starting at 105K and ending at around 97K, after a dip in August.

Finally, Magio GO from Slovak Telekom, a.s., although not generating revenue, showed a steady increase in downloads, particularly in August, peaking at over 4K.
