The third quarter of 2024 saw notable performances from the top MMORPG apps on iOS in the United States. Here's a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for the leading titles, based on Sensor Tower data.

Diablo Immortal by Blizzard Entertainment experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, starting at around $419K in early July, dipping to $262K in early August, and peaking at $490K at the end of August. Weekly downloads began at approximately 12.5K, dropping to as low as 6.9K by late September. Active users also saw a decline, from 185K at the start of the quarter to 133K by the end.

Ragnarok Origin: ROO from Gravity Game Vision Limited saw its weekly revenue decrease from $212K in early July to about $84K by the end of September, with a peak of $179K in mid-September. Downloads were relatively low, starting at 740 and decreasing to 409 by the end of the quarter.

MapleStory M: Fantasy MMORPG by NEXON Company had a notable revenue spike to $263K in late July, followed by fluctuations and ending the quarter at $125K. Downloads remained stable, starting at 866 and concluding at 847. Active users showed a decrease from 1.96K to 1.85K over the quarter.

Old School RuneScape from Jagex maintained stable weekly revenue, averaging around $100K. Downloads saw a slight increase from 4.5K to 5.3K in early August, before declining to 4.2K by the end of September. Active users remained consistent, ranging from 34.7K to 37K throughout the quarter.

Flame of Valhalla Global by Leniu Games, launched mid-quarter, showed increasing weekly revenue from $69K to $139K in early August, before gradually declining to $70K by the end of September. Downloads peaked at 48.7K upon launch, dropping significantly to 2.7K by the quarter's end.
