In the third quarter of 2024, the top entertainment apps on iOS in New Zealand showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. These insights, derived from data provided by Sensor Tower, offer a glimpse into the popularity and user engagement of these applications.

TikTok from TikTok Ltd. demonstrated a significant upward trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $52K in late August. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable increase to around 6K by the end of September. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users, although there was a gradual decline from 588K to 530K over the quarter.

TVNZ+ from Television New Zealand Ltd saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 6.8K in early July and dropping to about 2.8K by the end of September. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 15.4K to 12.3K during the same period.

Ticketmaster－Buy, Sell Tickets experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 5.5K in late September. Weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 82.5K at the beginning of the quarter to 71.1K by the end.

Netflix reported a steady weekly revenue, peaking at around $14K in late September. Weekly downloads showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 3.9K. Meanwhile, weekly active users saw a slight decline from 276K to 249K throughout the quarter.

Weekly downloads experienced an increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at approximately 3.5K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at around 61.2K.
