In the third quarter of 2024, the entertainment app landscape on the Android platform in the Netherlands showcased some interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s a detailed look at how the top five apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

HBO Max: Stream Movies & TV from WarnerMedia Global Digital Services, LLC saw fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $40K in late July. Weekly downloads started strong at 33.7K in early July but declined to approximately 12.7K by the end of September. Active users peaked at 219K in early August before settling at 143K by the end of the quarter.

Ziggo GO maintained a steady download rate, with notable spikes reaching 32.5K in mid-September. Active users experienced a growth trend, reaching 204K by the end of September.

Videoland saw a consistent download trend with numbers ranging between 5.9K and 11.1K per week. Active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, ending at 809K.

Ziggo GO TV downloads displayed a significant spike in mid-September, reaching 15.4K, while active users increased steadily to 53K by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ experienced a strong revenue performance, peaking at about $66K in late July. Weekly downloads reached a high of 8.8K in late September. Active users saw fluctuations but ended the quarter at a robust 427K.
