Top Entertainment Apps on iOS in Middle East Q2 2024

In Q2 2024, the entertainment app category on iOS in the Middle East saw impressive performances from TikTok, Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ, JACO جاكو, Disney+, and OSN+. Data from Sensor Tower reveals key trends in their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

TikTok from TikTok Ltd. saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $2.4M towards the end of May. Weekly downloads experienced a notable rise, reaching approximately 150K in mid-June, while active users consistently grew from 9.8M to over 10.2M by the end of the quarter.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ by MBC Group had a mixed quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at around $1.9M in April but saw a decline to approximately $1.2M by mid-June. Downloads dropped significantly from 151K at the beginning of April to around 33K by the end of June, and active users decreased from 526K to about 290K over the same period.

JACO جاكو, published by JACO ARABIAN COMPANY FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, maintained a steady performance in revenue, peaking at around $0.44M in late May. Downloads fluctuated around 30K to 35K, and active users showed a slight increase from 422K to 447K by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ from Disney-Hotstar Electronic Content, LLC, achieved a peak weekly revenue of approximately $0.45M in early June. Downloads saw an upward trend, reaching nearly 39K by the end of June, while active users increased from 300K to approximately 345K throughout the quarter.

OSN+ by Anghami showed significant growth in revenue, peaking at around $0.31M in mid-June. Downloads also surged, especially in June, reaching about 64K. Active users saw a substantial rise from 115K to over 180K by the end of the quarter.
