In the first quarter of 2024, the top entertainment applications in Sweden demonstrated diverse trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement, according to Sensor Tower's latest data. Below is a closer look at how each of the top five apps performed.

Duo - Interaktiva upplevelser från SVT experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter with 3.6K downloads, the app saw a massive spike, peaking at 45.4K in the week of February 26. Weekly active users also surged, starting from 47.4K and reaching a high of 136.3K in the same week.

Melodifestivalen saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, particularly in late January, where downloads jumped to 27.6K and then peaked at 31.7K in early February. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, beginning the quarter at 40.3K and peaking at 137.5K in mid-March.

TV4 Play maintained a relatively steady performance in terms of weekly downloads, with a gradual increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 15.9K in the final week of March. Active user numbers remained stable, starting at 101.7K and ending at 109.8K.

Amazon Prime Video showed consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $52K throughout the quarter. Downloads, however, saw a downward trend from 17.1K at the start of January to 7.9K by the end of March. Active users also fluctuated, starting at 104.2K and ending at 91.3K.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies reported the highest weekly revenue among the apps, with earnings peaking at $135.7K in late February. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, while active users hovered around 125K, peaking at 136.2K in the first week of January.
